    I agree there are issues we build power plants.  The problem is not lack or cost of solar or wind.  What we are dealing with and no one acknowledges is our grid.  In fact, the grid dates back to Thomas Edison!  
    Second you agree our grid is based on deficit of power not surplus.

    What to do.  We elected new Congress, and I have not heard one word battery.  With battery, electric car.  Yes, lithium is too expensive even for laptop, and lead is too heavy for transit.  With battery, we begin transition grid from deficit based to surplus based, as we store electricity.

    Now, we know we have problems when even liberals do not even rechargeable battery and UPS for their electronics.


    And the elephant in the room is not the Republican it is growth and development.  More people means more pollution, less habitat, less wilderness.

Abigail Dillen,

    Yes, we have an uphill battle against the Right...we are about to face an uphill battle on the Left.  Americans are learning that Democrats on Capitol Hill like to travel on jet wasting massive fuel - just as much and now more than Republicans.  We can only tolerate so much those in power attempt to pass legislation and taxation against the public using fuel when they themselves are exempt.
    Instead I use a different example, and ask you to encourage others as well: "Amtrak" Joe, Junior!  Vice-President Biden wanted to ride home, just as he did every day in the Senate.
    And we must work with PETA and HSUS against meat abuse.  We know Americans continue to eat too much meat!  I have been flexitarian since May, 1992, and I find incredulous the sheer number of anti-Trump that are oblivious to the meat on the dinner plate.

As for your question about our position on factory meat farms, here is our official platform.
For convenience's sake, though, here are some summary points of our party's position on protecting the environment:

o    Democrats share a deep commitment to tackling the climate challenge, which includes reducing Green House Gas emissions such as methane
o    Democrats believe that climate change is too important to wait for climate deniers and defeatists in Congress to start listening to science, and support using every tool available to reduce emissions now. 
o    We need to make our existing infrastructure safer and cleaner and build the new infrastructure necessary to power our clean energy future.

While our official platform may not mention factory meat farms specifically, please know that we prioritize protecting our environment in all sectors.

    I am in the middle of the most important Senate race, Florida incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson facing off against Republican Governor Rick Scott.
    Of interest is the red tide/alga problem the south Gulf coast, and the problem is getting worse. 
Now, obviously we know Republicans have ties to corporation and also tend to oppose environment.
    On Aug. 25th, I attend animal rights march in Fort Myers.  I learned Buckingham slaughterhouse runoff into the river, then into the Gulf and contributes to red tide/alga.
    What is your official position on factory farm meat.  I have been flexitarian since May, 1992.  I watch what I eat!  We know eating less meat (that is, not eating meat three meals a day, unless prescribed by physician) is beneficial both our health and the planet's health.

Kennedy, Jr. is actively fighting vaccination out of fear of harming children.  Now, ironically, due to their belief that burning fuel harms the planet, the Left has embraced science.  Perhaps we can use this belief in science to do some good; how many children have to suffer out of ignorance believe vaccines are harmful.

I have been member for some years do not have card handy.


I ring hand bells.  for a long time Americans have used various plastics for the handle and clapper.

I read today in England, hand bells are still leather handle and leather clapper.

You can read the two American bell makers, Schulmerich and Malmark, both in Pennsylvania.

We must fight 'tradition!'
