Thank you for contacting The Humane Society of

We are happy to receive your feedback and share your commitment to reduce suffering and to create meaningful social change for animals by advocating for sensible public policies, investigating cruelty, working to enforce existing laws, educating the public about animal issues, joining with corporations on behalf of animal-friendly policies, and conducting hands-on programs that make ours a more humane world.

Fellow Americans,
Yes, we need to change weather out of
control. Now, why do we use oil that makes the planet worse. We do
not have affordable electric car, and also for power we cannot store excess
electricity from wind and solar.
The solution to help animals in nature is better
battery. With battery we will electric car and end petroleum. With
battery we will store electricity and turn off the powerplants.
A sad irony is our cars are electric...the engine
needs a battery to start the car. So we have to run the car just to
charge the battery - which wastes more fuel.
Our family has taken the first steps. We
have in our homes UPS for battery backup for our electronics. This helps
America, as our uninterruptable power supply stores electricity, and powers our
homes during brown outs. Also I have gone from incandescent to
fluorescent to diode. SEER keeps improving so we use less electricity.
What can we do? We must work with new
Congress extend the federal energy tax credit. We must fight for tax
credit all solar, including portable not just rooftop. We must fight for
research spent better battery.
Last, we must be realistic the elephant in the
room. The real threat to wilderness is not the Republican Party it is
population growth. Each more people means less habitat, less wilderness,
more demand for resources.
